Jay Chou's "Slam Dunk" has English name change

American "Variety" revealed that "Slam Dunk" changed its English name, Albert Lee, the person in charge of selling the movie at Cannes from the Hong Kong Emperor Company, confirmed, "Slam Dunk" has already been changed from the original "Slam Dunk" to "Kung Fu Dunk". But the value of "kung fu is popular", it's already caught the attention of many international companies, the sales of international copyrights has risen.
According to reports, because "Slam Dunk" is the English name of the Japanese manga, but "Kung Fu Dunk" is not based on the manga, for fear of a copyright dispute, that's why they must change the name.
But Emperor Company did not explain as much, they expressed that changing the name was to match the needs of the international market release, the name of the Taiwan movie was determined with Chang Hong Films who they are working with to film the movie.
