Jay Chou's new movie is going to be self-directed, being son to Anthony Wong again
by kelvin@multistars - 23rd December 2006In "Curse Of The Golden Flower" Jay's performance has been approved, this has made the young heavenly king believe even more that he needs to place movies as part of his career, yesterday reporters found out that Jay's latest movie is not "Slam Dunk" in march next year but a movie that he self-directs and stars in, and Anthony Wong has already agreed to play his father.
"The Painted Veil" starring Anthony Wong and Andy Lau is coming out in China at the end of the month, in order to get more publicity when interviewed by the media Anthony Wong told everything he knew and even unexpectedly revealed the plans to collaborate with Jay in a new movie. According to Anthony Wong, after the New Year, he will be in Jay's new movie, Anthony Wong said: "In the past there have been movies wanting me, but they are all those triad movies, you can find anybody in Chinatown to play this kind of role, so I didn't take it, it didn't give a lot of money anyway, if I was given a lot of money I'll do it, I don't think I earn enough, I always feel a sense of danger, I'm afraid of having no money." Of course Anthony Wong is not acting for free, he will be taking a given reward, but Anthony Wong admitted he was helping Jay, but as to the name of the new movie, he was tight lipped about it.
According to the findings of the reporters, a few days ago Jay directed his "Golden Armour" MV, his directing improved and was approved by everyone, so after obtaining good results from being an actor, he has given himself another challenge, to complete his dream of being a director. In this new movie he is directing, "step father" Anthony Wong is going to be his father again after "Initial D". Jay will have two months to finish filming this movie and then he will join the "Slam Dunk" crew.
