Jay Chou writes for Jolin Choi again

by kelvin@multistars - 9th February 2004

Jolin nearly had depression for her new album! Her last album sold a massive 300,000 copies, her new album has been focused upon even more, but it is not even out yet and Jolin has started to play some mystery. Besides the recording being tight, the name is a secret, the first song to be plugged "Pirates" has a mysterious producer "Huang Zhong Ren (literal meaning as Yellow People)", this "Huang Zhong Ren" is not someone else, he is Jay Chou (Director Chou, Jay)!

Jolin, who is doing her best for her new album, has got big pressure, don't even mention insomnia, she nearly got depression, she said that everyday she went into the recording studio her nerves were stretched to the highest point.

Director Chou stays hungry too

Due to the fact Director Chou set 5 to 6 different fast song versions, he requested that she sing every detail very precisely, sing and sing again, at the end she sang to the point of practically going crazy, she nearly suspected herself that she couldn't sing, contracting depression. She stayed in the recording studio for an entire day, Jolin, who is serious, only ate one meal out of three, Director Chou, who is amiable, also stayed with her being hungry together.

Jolin and Director Chou worked together on the "See My 72 Change" album with the songs "Square Of Prague", "Say Love You", the responses to these two songs have been strong, besides having Xue Zong Ming, Wang Zhi Ping, Huang Yi, Si Song, Wei Song, etc... gold medal producers, Director Chou has personally come out to produce her first plugged song "Pirates", etc...3 new songs and he is also the producer, but, this time he didn't use this own name, he's using the name "Huang Zhong Ren" to publish this piece of work.

Don't like Huang Zhong Ren pen name

Director Chou once used the name "Poet" in his female junior apprentice ID's album to publish his work, he expects himself to be "both good at civil and military abilities", at one hand performing Dragon Fist and at the other hand writing a poem, but why has he changed his name to "Huang Zhong Ren"? Yesterday he was asked this question, even Director Chou himself was confused! In fact originally when he handed in his draft, Vincent Fang felt that this time's music had a very Eastern flavour, he just helped Director Chou fill in "Huang Zhong Ren" as his pen name on the way, even Jay himself was kept in the dark, yesterday after he found out, he hurriedly announced that from today onwards "Huang Zhong Ren" officially disappears, the correct name is "Zhou Jie Lun"!
