Jay Chou talks about being an "idiot" in life
by kelvin@multistars - 14th October 2004Reporter - R
Jay Chou - J
R: Right now a lot of people like you, imitating you, how do you see this kind of phenomenon?
J: Imitation is a good thing, you can create a piece of sky of your own. It's not necessarily bad to follow behind me, because he still has a very big space to expand. A lot of people start of as unknown, towards the young people, people who like to create we should give them more encouragement.
R: Are you a person who has a rebellious outward appearance but has a delicate heart?
J: I like this kind of feeling of inscrutable and untenable, like things that contrast a lot, including music. Maybe I am a person who has many kinds of characters, sometimes I don't like to speak, sometimes I am a bit "cold", sometimes I am very humorous, many kinds and diverse characters.
R: If you didn't make music, what would you do? Use 3 words to summarize yourself.
J: If I didn't make music I won't do anything; because I am an "idiot" in life, only want to make music. Perhaps I will be a piano teacher, this still has something to do with music. The 3 words to summarize myself should be "personality, confidence, moving".
R: Lets talk about what features your concert has this time?
J: This time's concert there will be nearly 30 songs, among them there will be a few songs from my latest album, I hope that everyone can sing with me from beginning to end, but you need to pay attention to safety. The fans are passionate; I will try my best to perform. I also hope the fans can bring their parents to participate in my concert; I don't want only youngsters to participate. Even though some of my stuff parents might not be able to accept, but there are still songs like "East Wind Breaks", my own father and mother really like it. Everybody come together to listen to my concert, parents can know what their kids are usually doing, what they like, there won't be any generation gap between communication.
