Jay Chou supports the Olympics and delays 5 concert sessions

Yesterday, reporters found out from the Sichuan performance company: in order to fully support the Beijing Olympics, apart from the Beijing stop being held normally for Jay Chou's 2008 concert, all the other places Chengdu, Zhengzhou, Wenzhou, Xi'an and Qingdao are all being delayed. Jay Chou's concert at Chengdu has been pushed back to November and will be held at the Chengdu sports centre. A lot of concerts from other stars have also been cancelled or delayed due to the Olympics, like Jolin Tsai's concert in Nanjing in June, Alan Luo's concert in Guangzhou in July. A staff member from Sichuan performance company which is organising Jay Chou's concert in Chengdu revealed, Jay Chou's contract to do the Chengdu concert was signed as early as March. They originally planned to hold it on the 11th of July at the Chengdu sports centre, but due to the fact the date 11th of July was too close to 8th of August which is the opening of the Olympics, Jay Chou decided to push it back to November of this year in order to support the Olympics. Jay Chou sent a greeting to Chengdu fans through the Sichuan performance company, and also asked for their understanding. Jay Chou expressed: "In order to support the Olympics, we should be making individual sacrifices."
According to investigation, there are a lot more stars having concerts in Chengdu this year. Besides Jay Chou, Amei Chang, Jolin Tsai and Na Ying are all going to be holding concerts in Chengdu. According to reporters, in order to fully support the Olympics, from May to September this year, Sichuan will temporarily suspend holding large outdoor concerts. They estimate that between September and December this year, the stars' concerts and other concerts will be held mainly in this time in Chengdu. By then the performance market in Chengdu will once again be a prosperous sight.
