Jay Chou supports Liu Geng Hong, only not willing to lend out Patty Hou

by kelvin@multistars - 22nd December 2005

Liu Geng Hong is releasing a new album, super good friend Jay has written 6 songs for him, directed two MVs, offering free promotion service, only his girlfriend "Patty Hou" is not being "lent out".

Last month when Jay released his new album, Liu Geng Hong generously lent out his girlfriend Wang Wan Fei, to be the female lead in "Hair Like Snow", now it is his turn to release an album, will he return the favour and lend out "Patty Hou"? Liu Geng Hong felt awkward, he was busy making things clear: "In fact last time when Jay invited Miss Wang (his girlfriend) to be in it, he contacted her directly, he didn't go through me."

For each song Jay charged $18,000, which is basically giving an 80% discount from the normal price of $100,000.

Originally Jay suggested they sing "The Lost Ticket" together, but Liu Geng Hong rejected it, "I've already lived under your shadow for a long time, it hasn't been easy for me to release an album, lets do a duet next album!"

Yesterday at the press conference, Jay gave him a brand labelled guitar worth $50,000 and told the media: "Liu Geng Hong has already become a "Singer-Songwriter", please don't take notice of his figure anymore."

Jiang Hui also has the same "discount" of $50,000, she is working with Jay for the new song "Fish That Loves To Deam". In fact Jay already handed in the song a year ago, but when it came into Jiang Hui's hands, it has waited a year before it can be sung. Jiang Hui was not nit picking about Jay's work, but it was that she could not find good lyrics, before she got Tom Pan to help write the lyrics for this song, she had already rejected at least 10 lyrics from other people.
