The Beijing Olympics is the centre stage for athletes to show their stuff, but the entertainment circle is not idle either, Jay Chou spent 5 months with partner Vincent Fang to complete the song "A Long Journey", he was rushing at the last minute of the cut off time, he finished the demo in Taipei on the 9th of March, he emailed it to Beijing group at night, in the end whether it will be the Olympic song or not, we'll have to wait until the 30th of April when it is announced.

Jay Chou, who is very secretive of his new piece, revealed: "I think if it has that feeling of electric guitars it comes a bit stronger than a piano." Not only does this song have Jay Chou's unique Eastern flavour, he has also added in simple to understand electro and elements of rock, you can already see these in "Chrysanthemum Flower Bed" and "Huo Yuan Chia". Jay Chou also said: "If listeners from Europe and America hear this kind of music, I hope it can make them jump back a little!"

A few bits of the lyrics of "A Long Journey" have been exposed: "A long journey, countless nights, waiting for a clear moon, on the border of dreams, the wind blows ceaselessly, never feeling tired, the East are worthy, who is number one, let us pursue perfection" The lyrics written by old partner Vincent Fang are indeed as if he was writing a poem.
