Jay Chou and Seth Rogen in some sort of tank

Yesterday the first trailer for Jay Chou's maiden film in Hollywood was revealed on Yahoo's website, during the 2 minute trailer, Jay Chou takes up half of it, having more time than female lead Cameron Diaz, it's too bad he's busy with his concert, he's missed out on a chance to do promotion in Hollywood.

Sony Pictures yesterday announced the first trailer in Los Angeles, when director Michel Gondry and main star Seth Rogen were interviewed, Seth praised Jay Chou: "He's one of the coolest dudes I've met."

Jay Chou plays Kato, a role played by Bruce Lee back in the day, in the movie he drives a really cool modified car "The Black Beauty", the house is full of new weapons he has invented. He only has 5 English lines in the trailer, including "I'm sorry to hear about your father", "Wanna see something cool?", his English pronunciation was up to standard, one of his lines to Seth was: "I'll go with you but I don't want to touch you." causing laughter.

This movie was originally planned to be released in December, in April the movie company announced they were changing to a 3D version, thus the North American release date was pushed back to 14th of January next year, it come out in Taiwan on the 3rd of February next year. Yesterday the trailer was exposed, people online praised Jay Chou for being very eye catching, but there were also others who thought it was very ordinary.

Jay Chou has been busy with his concert and so has missed out on a chance to do promotion in Hollywood, yesterday his company JVR Music's promotional manager Zhang Lan Yun clarified: "There's still a lot of time before the release date, there'll be other places, we are currently discussing it with the movie company."
