Jay Chou smiles shyly, wishes a Happy New Year to web friends
by kelvin@multistars - 21st January 2004
In the middle of a strong rhythmic moving music, Jay ascended onto the stage for the final rehearsal for the Chinese New Year night party; all the guessing about whether Jay will be able to appear on the night party became tranquil with the dance of Dragon Fist.
After the song was finished, Jay silently sat at the side of the retreat area; his tranquil expression seemed to be completely different from his jumping movement onstage. When he was lead into the lounge to rest by the staff, the reporters of Central Television International exclusively interviewed Jay; we talked to him about his feelings of passing the New Year.
Last year when it was the passing of the New Year, Jay also celebrated with the traditional Chinese way; he spent it with his family. He said that they let off firecrackers; they gathered together with relatives, it was a very happy thing. He, who it is not the first time to spend the passing of the New Year away from home, this year spent New Year's Eve in the CCTV night party, it has still given him a very different feeling, he said: "This time I am passing the New Year with the entire country's audience friends, this kind of feeling is very warm and very special. I think that it is very good to spend the passing of the New Year with everyone." At this point, on his face his signature shy smile exposed.
At the end of the interview, Jay didn't forget to wish the web friends of CCTV a Happy New Year, "All web friends, I am Jay Chou, here I wish everyone a Happy New Year. Hope that the friends that are still studying will make progress in education, for those who are already working, hope that the New Year brings new hope and can be realised straight away."
