Jay Chou, who didn't make it back to celebrate being crowned the Golden Melody King, yesterday afternoon invited reporters to the opening of his new dessert house "Mr. Q" to enjoy some afternoon tea. Talking about not being able to attend the Golden Melody Awards, it was hard for him to hide his regret, he promised there and then that he would be there next year no matter how busy he is.

Due to the fact he is going to America to film the movie "The Green Hornet", whether or not Jay Chou will be able to release his new album has become a question, he said: "The songs have already been written a while ago, perhaps we'll think of ways to record it in America when we have a rest from the filming." His schedule has been tight, up till now he still hasn't held his Golden Melody King Award, he expressed that it's all planned next year, he won't miss the Golden Melody Awards, he said smiling: "Even if I don't release an album next year I'll definitely go, because they will definitely invite the "King of Songs" to attend, right?"

According to rumours, Jay Chou fought off Korean star Kwon Sang Woo and many other Asian male stars to get to play the role "Kato" which was played by Bruce Lee, he said: "I only found out afterwards that a lot of people tried out for his role, I really feel lucky, because there aren't many Hollywood films that give Chinese people such good roles, I did the screen test at the company through video with the director and screenwriter, when I first started I didn't know the screenwriter was going to be the male lead."

Because there are fight scenes and car chases in "The Green Hornet", the crew arranged for Jay Chou to be taught how to drift by a professional, he also practised wushu moves with a master who once filmed with Bruce Lee, but Jay Chou couldn't help but show off some scenes from "Ci Ling" which he just finished filming, he said smiling: "I deliberately played the fight scenes from "Ci Ling" for the male lead (Seth Rogen) to watch, a lot of the moves were taught there and then, but it came out pretty well." And when Seth Rogen finished watching it, he was surprised and said: "Awesome!"
