Jay Chou releasing new album stresses that style hasn't changed
by kelvin@multistars - 1st June 2004Jay's yearly new album is going to be released on the 18th of July, a few days ago Jay accepted an interview on a radio programme, he revealed he has already recorded 8 songs, and he also revealed a satisfied face saying: "Too good, can listen to it."
Towards the fact that everyone requests Jay to have new things in his new album, when asked will he think it was a burden? Jay said helplessly: "Very troublesome, every time there is a new album, I don't want to change the style, but others only buy if there is new stuff, I think that a lot of artists, seniors succeed on their own style, like Jacky Cheung, I like his feel, his image is his style, persisting with himself, his music not yielding to the market, I will see it like a senior, if I don't want to change then I won't change."
Jay has been out for 4 years, he hopes he can bring his music to the foreign music industry, he said: "I hope that outside the country, not in Asia, I can let other people know my music, why can't Chinese music be performed on stage, I hope that one day Chinese music can become world mainstream."
