Jay Chou might decline to star in "Initial D" anytime
by kelvin@multistars - 16th February 2004The movie "Initial D" has had a lot of trouble, after switching director from Tsui Hark to the members of "Infernal Affairs" team Alan Fak and Andrew Lau, now male lead Jay doesn't know if he can film it. Because the movie is starting filming in April, it clashes with Jay's schedule, as he has to make his album, these few days Peter Lam has already been working hard with Jay's record company for a compromise in Taiwan, he has also been very sincere helping Jay to arrange for a racing class, he can go to Japan to learn, if not they can also hire the teacher to come to Taiwan to teach. Yesterday Mr Yeung said on the phone from Shanghai: "Talking a bit more conservatively, Jay might not star in it." He explained that the problem did not arise from them but from the fact that originally "Initial D" was supposed to start in February but because they changed directors afterwards, it was delayed till April, just at that time it is Jay's period to release an album, "Jay is a singer, at the moment nothing can surpass the release of an album."
Towards starring in a racing movie, Jay still had a fearless attitude saying: "If I have to act then I will act!" and working with the director of "Infernal Affairs", Jay said: "I have seen "Infernal Affairs" in Hong Kong, it was very good, very diao!"
Apart from the two male stars Jay and Edison Chen, there are going to be famous female stars from Hong Kong, Japan and Korea joining in.
