Jay plays the Guzheng for the first time for the MV of "Chrysanthemum Flower Bed". Since he hasn't learnt it before, he learns from the teacher there the basic finger method, after 20 minutes he was able to play the melody of "Chrysanthemum Flower Bed", his musical talent is indeed high. The MV for "Chrysanthemum Flower Bed" directed by Jay, has a palace background built for it costing TW$1 million, he stands on the water, with chrysanthemum flowers floating in the water, setting up the feeling of sadness yet with beauty, even Director Zhang Yi Mou praised it.
When Jay was little he learnt the piano and cello, he has a strong musical foundation, even the Guzheng poses no problem for him. Mother Chou curiously asked Jay: "I didn't let you learn the Guzheng when you were little, how do you know it?" Jay smiled without answering, after playing "Chrysanthemum Flower Bed", he even asked his colleagues to request songs, he played "Beyond A Thousand Miles", "How Do You Say", "Goodbye Kiss".
"Chrysanthemum Flower Bed" is the theme song of "Curse Of The Golden Flower", the MV has scenes from the movie, Jay said: "Interlacing scenes from the movie, the background of the MV can't be inferior to it. Because Zhang Yi Mou filmed it too well, I hope there isn't too big of a difference with the movie! This MV is not just lip-syncing, I hope everyone sees the feelings inside."
After watching the MV for "Chrysanthemum Flower Bed", Zhang Yi Mou expressed: "The MV is filmed very well! The likeableness and feelings of the song have all been captured, it's very rare! Most MV nowadays dazzles the eyes, very fashionable, but feelings are the most important! Jay has always had a rich, strong kind of feeling, he can make people immerse themselves in his music and voice, that's why I admire it so much."
