Jay Chou: I can catch up with the last baton

When filming "The Green Hornet", Jay Chou struggled with himself: should he go to Hollywood to try out or grasp the time left to release an album? At the end he chose "The Green Hornet", because the new album can be delayed until February, the chance of going to Hollywood is very rare, he also wanted to take the chance to push his music in America. He smiled saying: "On the set, whenever I had the chance I would promote my music. For instance if I found out a scene needed music, I would take out my own songs for the director to listen to, and ask him "Is it any good?", then tell him "I wrote this". There was a scene where I got filmed singing a few lines from "In The Name Of The Father", I don't know if it'll get cut from the final movie though."
During the filming, Jay Chou fully utilized those "very boring" free time by continuing to write, he expressed that all the songs for the new album are finished, he is just waiting for Vincent Fang's lyrics, "He's very lazy, and busy, he always waits till the last minute before handing in the work, but it definitely won't hold up my things. I'm already prepared to start recording in January next year, and a release in February." He expressed there won't be a big breakthrough in terms of the style, "Love songs like "Fragrance Of Rice", I've written a lot of them, so the album is mainly love songs. Every year people say I don't have any breakthroughs anyway. I've been out for 9 years, I don't concern myself with these things, I believe the people who like me will understand me."
The Spring Festival is coming up, there have been rumours about "Ying Lun group" appearing at the Gala again, but this time Jay Chou clearly denied this. "I've already spent two Spring Festivals with the fans, this year I want to give my time to my family, I'll spend it with my mom." He expressed that after he releases a new album next year, he will begin to prepare for a new tour concert, he won't exclude the possibility of working with Song Zu Ying again, "Working with Song Zu Ying was unforgettable, it was very new, if I can invite her to a guest at my concert, it would definitely be very meaningful".
