Jay Chou daringly plays with colours

by kelvin@multistars - 4th December 2006

"Golden Armour" is Western combined with Eastern and cross over of the past and present. The MV for "Golden Armour" is very detailed, Jay smashes the purple light tubes.

The movie theme song "Golden Armour" is full of power, the MV also shocks, the MV director Jay Chou this time daringly added purple elements to the golden beautiful palace building, he appears with the image of a purple Chinese style army overcoat, 500 purple light tubes were placed all over the ceiling, he daringly uses the combination of purple and gold.

In order to correspond with the movie's story, Jay used a cage to create the "desperate fight" of endurance, just like in the movie when he is surrounded and has to fight his way out and break 1800 lances. The floor of the MV's scenery, the purple curtains, drums, even the player's clothes has the image of "Chrysanthemum Flower" from the movie, you can see Jay's intentions, he can't let the MV of "Golden Armour" lose its colours.

Using purple in the MV is courageous, it is shown in his purple Chinese style army overcoat, the purple curtains and even the 500 light tubes all over the ceiling, when he was using the lance he accidentally broke one of the light tubes, fortunately Jay immediately stepped back so he wasn't hurt by the falling glass.
