Jacky's concert, most afraid of Jay's songs

by kelvin@multistars - 20th December 2004

God of Songs Jacky Cheung's voice is outstanding, he is also very strict when selecting songs, many years ago Chang Chen Yue especially wrote the song "Love Me Don't Leave" for him, Jacky Cheung missed it and didn't pick it, afterwards Ah Yue sang it himself and it became popular. Recently Jacky Cheung re-sang "Love Me Don't Leave" at the "Live Out Life Live Concert", it is also recorded into this concert's live CD.

Jacky Cheung is holding a charity concert on the 5th of October in Hong Kong; all the funds raised from ticket sales on the night are to be donated to "Make Your Life Shine" foundation. God of Songs Jacky Cheung is for the first time singing publicly 25 classic songs by famous artists from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, England, etc...

Jacky Cheung will be singing Teresa Teng's "If Only People Were Everlasting", Stef Sun's "Dark Sky", Ah Mei "Listen To The Sea", Mavis Fan's "Tears", Chang Chen Yue's "Love Me Don't Leave", Jay Chou's "Clear Stars", David Tao's "Love Is Very Simple", Faye Wong's Cantonese song "Arrangement", Eason Chan's "Unique In The World", Jacky Cheung is also re-singing Bee Gees' "First Of May".

Jacky Cheung said that re-singing Jay's "Clear Stars" he feels is the harder of all the songs, because normally he doesn't come into contact with R&B songs very often, he's not very familiar with the overall pace of these types of songs, it's harder to grasp.
